This is one of the best movies I’ve seen all year. Richard Gere coiffes his best hair, Susan Sarandon throws her best shade, and the screenwriter twists his best twists. Arbitrage is smart, well-paced, thrilling, and has one of the most satisfying endings of the year.
It’s out in limited release + On Demand, so you can watch it at home while drinking beer on the couch like I did. Just make sure you also buy Junior Mints while at the bodega. I forgot those.

I really liked the part where Richard Gere yells “WHAT IS AN ‘APPLEBEES’?!” That was really the best part. He’s not bad, he’s just never eaten good in the neighborhood.
